The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies to your community.
SASSA will be rendering providers such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a press release, the agency mentioned it is alarmed about the substantial number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The aim of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the significant quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no thoroughly functional office dedicated to service the area on a regular basis. The service level made for intervention experiences a substantial influx of potential beneficiaries, which makes it complicated for that office to attend to all people who stop by a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra sources to help the servicing of all shoppers and improve access to Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
